Relson Gracie's Jiu-jitsu is not Sport Based Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which is designed win in tournaments (even though it does), and we as all Relson Gracie Jiu-jitsu Academy's do compete.
WHAT IT IS:
The main purpose of Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is for Reality Based Self Defense. If a technique will only work on the mat in a sports context, then we will not teach it. All techniques must first work in the street in real combative self defense situations. This is first and foremost. This is the Gracie Way.
